Foam or Gas Inflating?

There are two main types of lifejacket.

Foam lifejackets are made of lightweight buoyant foam and soft fabric. These are light and comfortable to wear.

Gas lifejackets feature a bladder that inflates automatically when immersed in water. Because the bladder is rolled into a protective cover they are smaller than foam type jackets.
